Welcome to my journal
Dear Friends, I am glad to welcome you to the pages of my journal.
This space is not for “audience building” or selling services. It is my personal archive of thoughts, fragments, visual and emotional noise. Here I share what doesn’t always make it into glossy magazines or exhibition walls, but constitutes the very essence of my Life.
One day, a professor wrote a large number 1 on the board and, looking at his students, explained:
— This is your humanity. The most essential quality in life. Then, next to the number 1, he wrote a 0 and said:
— These are your achievements, which, combined with humanity, multiply you by ten. Another 0 is experience, with which a person becomes 100. And so he added 0 after 0: caution, upbringing, love, wealth, power…
— Each added 0 multiplies a person by ten, — the professor said.
Suddenly, he erased the number 1 at the beginning of the row. Only useless, meaningless zeros remained on the board.
The professor said:
— If you do not have humanity, the rest is worth nothing.
I often think about this story. In a world where everyone is shouting about “personal branding” and the endless accumulation of zeros, it is so easy to forget about that very one. We run after achievements, after recognition, after the shine that is so easily blown away by the first gust of wind. We add zeros, but sometimes in this race we erase the main thing.
When I pick up a camera and look into people’s eyes — in the Territories, in distant China, in my hometowns — I am looking for exactly this one. Humanity. That very Gold that does not shine with a false glitter, but has true weight. My projects are not about zeros. They are about the one. About people who, despite everything, keep this core within themselves.
What will you find in this journal?
My notes. Reflections on Life, on time, on choice, and simply photographs. Stories I didn’t have time to tell in interviews or presentations. Frames that didn’t make it into exhibitions or series, but forever remained in my heart. There is no chase for attention here. There is only an attempt to stop, exhale, and watch a bee collecting pollen.
Read, think, argue, be silent. The main thing is to remain human. Cherish your “one”.
Take care of yourself.
