Storm and darkness are what I came from. But rebirth happened precisely in the chaos. It happened in the very moment the noise subsided. That does not mean the chaos disappeared. I did not become new. I simply ceased to be a stranger to myself.

# THE CODE OF VISION
**Diary of the Path of Roman Adler**
This is not a law for everyone. It is my way of not betraying life.
I. ON TIME
Time is not a currency. It is the medium in which we live. But within this medium, there are moments of awakening — kairos, not chronos. You cannot buy back a past minute. Not from God, nor from the devil.
**Rule: ** I do not give my life to those who systematically devalue it. This is not pride. It is care. I keep my fire for those ready to warm themselves by it, not to extinguish it.
II. ON THE GAZE
The camera is not a tool of fixation. It is an extension of my eye and my soul.
I do not invent reality. I meet it. My choice of frame, angle, and moment is an act of co-creation. And with this act comes responsibility.
If I do not feel a soul in the frame, I do not press the shutter. An empty memory card is better than a fake photograph.
Photography does not create meaning. It merely allows it to manifest.
III. ON SILENCE
I choose silence.
I do not beg for attention. I do not trade my dignity.
**But sometimes silence becomes complicity.** Sometimes you must speak at the top of your voice — to be heard. Anger, a question, a refusal to be silent — these are also part of the path when it comes to what cannot be lost.
Style serves meaning, not the other way around. Fidelity to the essence is more important than fidelity to the form.
IV. ON DIGNITY
I do not adapt to expectations. I do not wear masks to please the crowd.
My profession, my poetry, my life — they are one. I do not divide myself into the “convenient” and the “real”.
I go where the masks are torn off.
V. ON THE PATH
I have no goal to “become the best”. I have a direction.
I sow seeds of memory, dignity, and hope. I do not harvest the pain of others. **The difference between the exploitation of suffering and bearing witness to it is a thin line. I cross it only when my gaze does not strip away dignity, but recognizes it.**
I do not know where this path will lead. But I know how to walk it. Honestly. Slowly. Deeply.
